The fifth-generation mobile communication system (5G) service has been launched, and
those are expected to deploy in auto-driving and telemedicine.
These technologies use high frequencies called microwaves and millimeter waves while
using the technology to transmit high-speed and large-capacity data at low delay, there is
a problem that the internal electrodes that are stacked in a typical multilayer ceramic
capacitor (MLCC: Multi-Layer Ceramic Capacitors) become inductance components at
high frequencies and the characteristics deteriorate.
The SLC (SLC: Single Layer Capacitors) developed by JFC is a simple structure with
electrodes only on the front and back of the dielectric, but it is a capacitor that can
suppress the inductance component and obtain excellent characteristics even at high frequencies.
6G is the next generation of 5G will be required more high frequency, and the demand for
single layer capacitors will continue to increase in the future, and it is expected to be used
for a variety of applications including optical transceiver module.
