Planting Cherry Trees in Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd., Grounds as an Initiative to Protect Biodiversity
Since FY2021, Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd., has been carrying out activities to protect biodiversity in local areas and in our grounds.
As part of this initiative, ten Yoshino cherry trees were planted in the grassy area at the south-east corner of the Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd., grounds on April 7 by a group of 18 people that included department heads, new recruits, and the chairperson of the labor union. The cherry tree planting was a three-year project that began in FY2021. This year was the last stage of the project, and with its completion Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd., has been able to plant a total of 22 cherry trees in our grounds.
Through this initiative we have been able to further green the Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd., site, and also gain a deeper understanding of the importance of action to protect biodiversity.
Going forward, the Hitachi High-Tech Group will continue to contribute to the conservation of the global environment, and to demonstrate our corporate social responsibility.
