Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd. Holds a Clean-up of Important Water Source in Suzhou

Since FY2021, Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd. has been carrying out activities to protect biodiversity in our neighborhood and on our grounds.
On March 30, 11 Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd. employees did volunteer work to protect the local environment near Lake Yangcheng. Yangcheng is the third largest freshwater lake on the Taihu Plain and is Suzhou’s main source of drinking water. We carried out a clean-up near Lake Yangcheng to protect the local environment near our workplace.

Over the course of three hours or so, the participants in the clean-up collected trash such as empty PET bottles, disposable food containers, disposable chopsticks, cigarette butts and plastic bags.
This clean-up not only boosted our employees’ awareness of environmental conservation and gave them a deeper understanding of the importance of protecting biodiversity, but was also a concrete example of acting on our corporate social responsibility to protect the environment. Going forward, Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd. intends to continue our activities to protect biodiversity.
