2017/11/30
On November 30, Hitachi High-Tech RUS Limited Liability Company held an electron microscopy event in full collaboration with local electron microscope equipment store "Interlab," using the TM3030Plus Tabletop Microscope at Moscow's Mendeleev University.
The audience consisted of 28 students from grades 7 to 9 (equivalent to junior high school students in Japan) from one of the University's local primary/secondary education institution partners. As detailed below, the event was run in two parts by an Interlab representative, consisting of an educational part and an entertainment part featuring a quiz and other activities.
The games where students were divided into teams, discussed amongst themselves, and competed as a team were also extremely well received by students, teachers, and university officials.
Also, on the day, the Japanese embassy in Russia, the Japanese Business Club, and news agency Sputnik came to visit. This led to the event also being published on the Japanese version of the Sputnik News website.
2018 has been established as the "Year of Japan in Russia," with a number of strategies planned towards expanding collaboration between Japan and Russia. Based on this recent event experience, Hitachi High-Tech RUS Limited Liability Company also plans to deliver lessons to local Japanese schools in collaboration with Hitachi High-Tech, CSR & Corporate Communications Dept.
