In February 2019, Hitachi High-Tech Diagnostics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.'s Beijing branch and Hitachi High-Tech Shanghai held tabletop-microscopy classes at the China Science and Technology Museum in Beijing for 20 junior-high-school second graders.

The China Science and Technology Museum in Beijing is the only national-level comprehensive science and technology museum in China, and a place where visitors can enjoy science through a variety of experiences. The museum offers a wide range of experiences, from the microscopic world of cells to animals, computers, environmental issues and space development. Learning courses are offered free of charge on a variety of subjects.

In the class, students prepared observation samples and got to try operating a tabletop microscope. Everyone was very interested and participated in the lesson enthusiastically. We were also able to stimulate the children's interest in nature by teaching them about biomimetics.
