Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou) Holds Remote Classes Using a Tabletop Electron Microscope at a Japanese School

On December 5, Hitachi High-Tech and Hitachi Instruments (Suzhou) held a science class at a Japanese school in Suzhou, China, for a total of 132 students: 47 elementary school third-graders, 54 elementary school fifth-graders, and 31 junior high school first-graders.
The class began with a remote session from Hitachi High-Tech headquarters and then continued with a hybrid approach, allowing students to actually operate the tabletop electron microscope that had been brought to the school in advance. The content was tailored to each grade level, and the students attentively examining samples through the microscopes.
Feedback from the students was very positive, and many comments from teachers indicated that they look forward to this event every year.
Hitachi Instruments (Suzhou) intends to continue holding outreach classes using the microscopes.
