Hitachi Instruments (Dalian) held a science outreach class using desktop electron microscopes at the Dalian Japanese School on December 6, 2023. Targeting 20 junior high school students, this was the first outreach class since 2018, marking a five-year gap.

This year’s session was conducted in a hybrid format, combining remote lectures via Teams with hands-on electron microscope operation experiences.

During the class, students observed "paper fibers" under the microscope. Despite the challenging content, they remained engaged and attentive throughout. The hands-on experience prompted many questions from the students, reflecting their enthusiastic and proactive attitude.

Moving forward, Hitachi Instruments (Dalian) will continue to provide science classes to nurture the next generation of young minds.
